How to auto start a service on fedora?
I always forget, so I cite here:
if you install one new service, you can start by . . .
service snmpd start | stop
. . . and add to the always on service list: chkconfig --add snmpd
chkconfig --level 345 snmpd on
That's it.
Comments
In more recent Fedora releases, there is a new way to auto-start a service:
Redsazsystemctl enable snmpd
You can read more about it at docs.fedoraproject.org/.../...ces_and_Daemons.html
